ASIL will hold a graduation ceremony, hosted by its Women in International Law Interest Group, for Washington, DC-based participants in its 2014-15 Women in International Law Mentoring Program. Since the mentoring program's beginnings in 2013, more than 240 women have enrolled as both mentors and mentees in 17 cities ranging from Tucson to Singapore. Thanks to the enthusiasm of past and current participants, the mentoring program has built a strong, inter-connected, and global network.
The Society's Women in International Law Mentoring Program is the first of its kind in international law and is designed to foster the next generation of female international lawyers. The program connects experienced female international law professionals with female law students and new attorneys interested in professional development in the field of international law.
