This event is a discussion of the volume International Legal Theory and the Cognitive Turn (van Aaken & Hirsch, eds., OUP 2025). The book examines how insights gained from cognitive-behavioral sciences may influence the principal theoretical approaches to international law. The discussion will feature chapter authors who will preview their treatment of approaches such as transnational legal process, realism, constructivism, and critical approaches to international law.
