The European Court of Human Rights at a Glance
Join the ASIL International Legal Research Interest Group (ILRIG) for a webinar on the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR)! At this event, Joan Forner Rovira, the current Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Andorra to the Council of Europe and a former government agent to the ECtHR, will give an overview of how the ECtHR works. In addition, he will explain how the execution of sentences is supervised and how to find and access the jurisprudence of the court. Lastly, he will talk about the negotiations for the accession of the European Union to the European Convention on Human Rights, which has a concrete impact on the two courts in Luxemburg and Strasbourg, respectively. There will be time for Q&A at the end.
