Africa Talk Series: International Women's Day 2021 - Let's Choose to Challenge

Collectively, we are creating an inclusive world. Women globally are making formidable strides from emerging economies to the emerged economies. One recurring commonality is the fact women are choosing to be on the table and meritoriously they are given their place. Recently, the USA had its 1st female Vice President Kamala Harris,  the WTO chose its 1st female Director-General, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and the list continues. Women are being included in many decision- making boards because there are capable women, who through handwork and education are able to carry out the work accordingly. International Women’s Day is a reminder of how far positively we have come, and with the theme “ Let’s Choose to Challenge” we are reminded there’s still work to be done because there are areas yet to be addressed.
