NAFTA Next or Nixed? U.S.-Canada Economic Relations under Stress

Description:

Please join the Canada-U.S. Law Institute Nov. 2nd 2017 for our annual Experts' Meeting. We welcome three renowned trade experts as commentators on the current state and future of the Canada-U.S. trade relationship. The panel is uniquely positioned to offer insightful commentary: Gary Horlick has held senior trade positions in the U.S. Gov't, litigates extensively in national and international trade courts, and teaches international trade law at Yale, Georgetown, Columbia, and Berne Universities; Colin Robertson, a Senior Adviser to Dentons LLP and Vice President and Fellow at the Canadian Global Affairs Institute, is a former Canadian Diplomat who participated in negotiating the Canada-US FTA and NAFTA; Chip Roh also held senior positions in U.S. Gov't (including USTR for North America where he helped negotiate NAFTA) and litigated extensively in national and international trade courts as private counsel. Larry Herman, of the CUSLI Executive Committee and Senior Fellow in international economic policy at the C.D. Howe Institute, will moderated the panel. There will be ample opportunities for audience participation (we will be operating under Chatham House Rules to encourage candor), and we welcome you as our guest. Please also take a moment to complete our brief anonymous NAFTA survey (link below), the results of which will also be discussed.
