Private International Law
The Private International Law Interest Group was formed for the purpose of exploring the relationship between public and private international law, under the general thesis that they exert reciprocal influence. This exploration involves making developments in the field more readily accessible to members and the general public, providing opportunities for members to have input on the processes and institutions through which private international law is developed, assisting in the establishment of mechanisms by which members, legal practitioners, the judiciary, and internationally active enterprises may gain knowledge of relevant issues of private international law, providing a forum for a critical examination of private international law and its processes, and (through a combination of the aforementioned goals) improving the international law that is the output of those processes.
