Preparing Future Generations: The Role of Technology in Teaching and Learning ‎International Law [1]

Date:
Friday, January 30, 2026 - 12:30pm to 1:30pm
Description:

International law can be taught to law students and students from other disciplines. In both cases, its interaction with technology during the teaching and learning process cannot be overlooked. This webinar on educating future generations will explore the role of technology in teaching and learning international law, including its integration into the curriculum, its support mechanisms, and its importance as a learning outcome.

The webinar will focus on four key points. First, it will highlight the importance of technology in the practice of international law and discuss how to incorporate it early in the learning process, especially in teaching international dispute settlement. Second, it will analyse the relationship between technology and the desired learning outcomes, focusing on the digital transformation of legal education. Third, it will emphasize the use of technology in international moot courts, including simulations. Fourth, given the importance of legal research in the educational process, the webinar will discuss digital legal research tools and resources, including widely accessible international law research sources that help students and early-career researchers find useful and relevant materials.
