Date:
Friday, March 8, 2024 - 12:00pm to Saturday, March 9, 2024 - 8:00pm
Description:

Loyola University New Orleans College of Law?s Journal of Public Interest Law (JPIL) cordially invites you and your colleagues to a Symposium entitled: A Void in International Law? Human Rights in Unrecognized or Partially Recognized States.
This Symposium will explore the humanitarian crisis for the ethnic Armenian community of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) as a result of Azerbaijan?s complete military encirclement, months-long blockade, and, ultimately, the entire Armenian population?s forced migration out of Nagorno-Karabakh. These events raise oft-ignored questions about the universality and effectiveness of non-derogable international human rights norms.
