Celebrating 40 Years of International Law at WCL: Reuniting and Growing a Global Network [1]
The International Legal Studies Program at AUWCL was founded in 1982 as a bold statement of our commitment to the teaching and research of international law. The program launched one of the first LL.M. programs for international students in the United States. Ever since, AUWCL has remained at the forefront of international law and has trained more than 4,500 lawyers from more than 60 countries. Today, we celebrate this incredible community of legal professionals. While the world has changed over the last 40 years, the need for a strong international legal order remains as pressing and necessary as ever. AUWCL’s commitment to these fundamental values continues unabated. To celebrate 40 years of international law at AUWCL, we are hosting accomplished alumni, faculty and renowned experts to discuss the past and the future of international law.
