On Wednesday, February 27, 2019 a web seminar will be presented by Dr. Daphné Richemond-Barak of IDC Herzliya on Underground Warfare: Operational and Legal Dilemmas. The event is being sponsored by ASIL’s International Law and Technology Interest Group [2] (ILTechIG) and will appear on the IG page as soon as available. It will be moderated by ILTech Co-Chair Deborah Housen-Couriel in the IDC International Radio Studios in Herzliya, Israel. Dr. Richemond-Barak is an Assistant Professor at the IDC's Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy; and Senior Researcher and Head of the International Law Desk at the IDC's International Institute for Counter-Terrorism.

The seminar will expose the global and fast-diffusing nature of underground threats – from Syria and Iraq to Gaza, Egypt, and Mali.

Dr. Richemond-Barak’s monograph, Underground Warfare [3], was published in 2018 by Oxford University Press.
