Special Breakfast Program on CFIUS, Featuring the Treasury Department’s Aimen Mir [1]
The Washington Foreign Law Society presents a special breakfast program with Aimen Mir, deputy assistant secretary for investment security at the U.S. Treasury Department. Mir will discuss and answer questions about the process followed by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) in its reviews of foreign investment transactions. The investment security office is not only responsible for the implementation of Treasury’s responsibilities as chair of the CFIUS, but also leads Treasury’s open investment initiatives and leads dialogues with other countries as they relate to foreign investment review processes. This moderated discussion will track the 2009 OECD Guidelines for Recipient Country Investment Policies Relating to National Security.
The program will be off-the-record.
