Holiday Open House [1]
Toast the holiday season with the American Society of International Law by attending our annual holiday open house, featuring welcome remarks by ASIL President Donald Donovan. The Society will once again partner with the Capital Area Food Bank [2] and invites attendees to bring items to donate. Bring donations to the event or, starting on December 1, drop them off at ASIL headquarters.
Below is a list of suggested items for the Food Bank:
Non-perishable Food Items
- Canned Proteins: Tuna, Salmon, Chicken or Peanut Butter
- 100% Fruit Juices (all sizes including juice boxes)
- Grains (pasta, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, macaroni and cheese)
- Condiments (tomato based sauces, light soy sauce, ketchup, mustard, light salad dressings)
- Low Sodium/No Salt Added Canned Vegetables (mixed, green beans, corn)
- Soups (beef stew, chili, chicken noodle, turkey rice)
- Multigrain Cereal (cheerios, cornflakes, grapenuts, raisin bran)
Hygiene Products
- Diapers
- Deodorants for men and women
- Feminine products
- Toilet paper
- Tissues
- Soap
- Toothpaste
- Shampoo
Kids Cafe (An evening meal served after school before a child goes home. Industrial sizes appreciated.)

- Pasta Sauce (no meat)
- Granola/Fruit bars
- Graham Crackers
