Welcome to ASIL Cables 2016! As many of you know, ASIL Cables provides online daily reporting for the annual meeting of the American Society of International Law. Gabriela Femenia and I are delighted to carry on the work of Gary Shaw and previous editors who have made this meeting more accessible to attendees, as well as to practitioners, scholars, and students of international law around the world.
As in years past, we will be working with the ASIL team to provide you with content as it becomes available. We will feature summaries of panels, updates on ASIL interest groups, as well as video recordings of the most popular programs. We hope to include material that may be new to our audience, including events leading up to the conference, commentary on books featured in this year’s conference, and more.
This year’s conference will be held again at the Hyatt Regency (400 New Jersey Ave., NW). Seven meeting tracks are designed to help attendees navigate the conference programming and are included below.
One of the notable changes to the conference will be the new Gala Reception, which replaces the formal dinner. The reception will take place in the stunning National Building Museum on March 31, 6:30 – 8:30 pm. This ticketed event will follow the first ever Assembly, which will feature remarks by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer.
Should you have any questions or recommendations, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Welcome to ASIL Cables 2016 and the 110th ASIL Annual Meeting: Charting New Frontiers in International Law!
