Jean began working at the Cook County Law Library (Chicago), one of the largest U.S. practitioner law libraries, as a Reference Librarian. She was appointed Chief Foreign and International Law Librarian in 1993. In 1995 she moved to the Cornell Law Library where she was the Reference Librarian focusing on foreign and international law. At Cornell, she was also an instructor in the first year legal research curriculum, Collection Development Coordinator for an extensive print and electronic collection, and research liaison for the Cornell International Law Journal.
Jean earned her B.A. from St. Mary’s of Minnesota, J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law, and M.L.I.S. from Rosary College (Dominican University). She is admitted to the state bar of Illinois and is active in the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA). Before entering law school, Jean worked as a foreign banknote trader in Chicago. She has studied in Italy, Germany, and Wales.
