ASIL Institutes Overview
As part of ASIL's mission to promote greater use of international law, ASIL provides continuing legal education programs and skills oriented trainings for members of the legal profession, including government, non-governmental and private sector attorneys, who may or may not have had exposure to international law.
Tillar House Institutes
ASIL is developing more substantive full-length institutes for CLE on a wide variety of topics, including human rights and humanitarian law litigation. Past institutes have included the War Crimes Institute: The Saddam Trials and International Law
Law Firm Trainings
ASIL has provided in-house CLE trainings on the principles and applications of international law to prominent law firms. Further, ASIL has planned a 2-hour CLE training, in conjunction with the New York City Bar for attorneys in the New York area.
Annual Meeting
ASIL's educational mission has expanded to its Annual Meeting, one of the largest gatherings of international lawyers and legal scholars each year. ASIL provides CLE credit for certain select panels at the Annual Meeting, including its featured New Voices panels. Attendees can receive CLE credit in multiple jurisdictions. More info
