ASIL Continuing Legal Education Institutes Overview

As part of ASIL's mission to promote greater use of international law, ASIL provides continuing legal education programs and skills oriented trainings for members of the legal profession, including government, non-governmental and private sector attorneys, who may or may not have had exposure to international law.

ASIL is developing more substantive full-length institutes for CLE on a wide variety of topics, including human rights and commercial litigation.

Trainings

ASIL has provided CLE trainings on the principles and applications of international law to both in-house and at prominent law firms throughout the United States.

Past courses have included a webinar providing an Introduction to International Arbitration; and in-person trainings on the Role of Legal Ethics and International Practice and Parallel Proceedings in International Litigation.

Annual Meeting

ASIL's educational mission has expanded to its ASIL Annual Meeting,  offering a vast array of CLE course sessions presented by internationally renowned speakers on topics, including international human rights law, trade and finance, dispute resolution and environmental law.
