With support from the University of Illinois College of Law, the University of Chicago Law School, and the Center on Law and Globalization, ASIL will inaugurate its new Interest Group for members based in the Midwest region. The launch will include a series of events at the University of Illinois College of Law, Champaign, IL, and the University of Chicago, Chicago, IL, featuring ASIL President Lucy Reed and ASIL Executive Vice President and Executive Director Elizabeth Andersen.

Please join us for one or more of the following four inaugural events.

This panel session with Reed and Andersen is co-sponsored by the International Law Society and
the Office of Career Planning and Professional Development. The program will include an overview
of careers in international law and the resources and networks of the American Society of International Law.

This session will provide an opportunity to hear from Lucy Reed, one of the top practitioners in international law in the world today, on the international financial crisis.

Leading experts will discuss the various international legal implications of the global financial crisis. There will be two panel sessions featuring the following presentations.
