How will Climate Change and Conflict Impact Each Other

ASIL and the UNA-USA s Council of Organizations will be hosting a luncheon event to explore the nexus between environment and conflict, including the national security implications and legal issues surrounding climate change and conflict. This event will be in observance of the International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict that took place on November 6. Our featured experts will include the CNA Corporation project leader of the National Security and Climate Change program, which released its own report in April 2007, and an expert on the United Nations, environmental law, and conflict for the Environmental Law Institute.
