ANSI Workshop: Arbitration of RAND Disputes

The Intellectual Property Rights Interest Group of the American Society of International Law will co-sponsor the ANSI Workshop: Arbitration of RAND Disputes, which will will build on discussions that began during the Legal Issues Forum, held in October 2013 as part of ANSI’s World Standards Week.

The event will examine the incorporation of essential patents into standards, including reasonable and non-discriminatory (RAND) terms, arbitration, injunction, dispute resolution, and more. ANSI members and all interested stakeholders including those from government, industry, business, consumer groups, and academia are encouraged to attend and share their perspectives, insights, and expertise on resolving RAND disputes through arbitration and other means.
