Accountability

Accountability is the ASIL International Criminal Law Interest Group’s newsletter. The newsletter offers contributions relating to ICL institutions, international crimes, interactions with other areas of law and international versus domestic prosecutions. Articles come in the forms of legal analyses, case summaries and reviews of recent publications or conferences. Lawyers, practitioners, academics and researchers alike contribute pieces for the newsletter. Past issues have included discussions of substantive ICL crimes, including a lengthy point-counter-point discussion on the crime of aggression, thematic explorations of the rights of victims and issues of procedural processes and overlaps between ICL and restorative justice mechanisms. Overall, the newsletter fosters the study of international law and promotes the maintenance of international relations through helping the fight against impunity.
